Jade Tribes Exhibition

UCF 2010.

Brief:

As part of the UNESCO mother language day, choose an endangered language and develop an outcome to promote the language, inform/educate the public.

Solution:

Research the Kenyan El Molo tribe. Language/culture/sorroundings.
Promote/celebrate the language and culture in the region

I decided to Brand/promote a concept exhibition hosted by the natural history museum, London, February 2010 named;
'Jade Tribes'.

The exhibition would celebrate and inform all areas of the 10 different tribes (including El Molo) around Kenya's Lake Turkana
(the Jade sea).
They each speak endangered languages.

The visual identity has been influenced from what all ten tribes have in common (jewellery) and what unifies the tribes
(the Jade sea).
